Fishing has been open for over a week and I have not taken it for granted! The majority of my time has been spent on the slot machine, Leech Lake. The fishing had been feast or famine, well mostly famine. It’s not that I haven’t been catching walleyes, finding them
under the slot has been a different story. You find a few anglers griping at the accesses, but not this guy! Any lake where you can consistently catch 22-25″ walleyes shouldn’t be grounds for complaints. Sadly, the minnow bite has slowed, with leeches and lindy rigs producing the most fish.
