THE MINNESOTA SPORTING JOURNAL CREW INTRODUCES A NEW FAMILY MEMBER
Recently, I had the chance to meet the newest member of the Minnesota Sporting Journal crew, Gunner, Paul Rud’s new gun dog.
Not yet 8 weeks old, Gunner is an equal mix of calm and spunk. The face of the tri-colored male Springer Spaniel just screams . . . “Get me at those grouse and pheasants!”
The fun of having a new puppy around makes an anticipating hunter quickly forget about all the work and responsibility. We were already counting the days, judging Gunner’s age come October! Paul can’t wait.
I tried to snap some photographs of Gunner playing with my son Liam, however, it was a whirlwind. For those of you who know the energy of a 1.5 year old: add an 8 week old puppy and the difficulty doubles. I did capture a couple of the tornados whizzing by . . . I hope you enjoy!
